I have just received an email apparently from BT to advise the CPI+3.9% increase to my broadband and calling plan.
The email seemed to relate to my actual broadbnd package and calling plan.
The email address of the sender looks exactly like that from BT a year ago advising of the price increase.
The first thing I noticed in this latest email is that it doesn't include any reference to my account number.
This latest email has links to latest cost of packages etc but when you hover over the links it points you to https://intelli-direct.com which a search on Google shows it is a direct marketing company.
This does lead me to think it is Spam email, and wonder if anyone else has had a similar email advising of the price increase?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The email is genuine but BT have managed to prevent access to the links in it.

Thanks, I saw the posting to which you refer but didn't take any notice at the time and just glossed over it.
This latest email on prive increase doesn't quite look the same as that received a year ago advisng of the price increase from 31 March 2023.
Although the links don't work I'm still unclear why they point to a direct marketing company.
In fairness to BT the links worked a couple of day after receieving the email on the price increase
