briefly, I now longer needed my BT home essential's package and i wanted to change the name on the account to my mum who is at the same address and was eligible for BT home essentials
I was told that wasnt possible so id need to cease that account and start a new one for her and a new broadband service and then transfer to BT essentials when it was up and running so i went ahead and agreed to that all the direct debits etc and my old service ceased on 21st dec and then i started with the new account and router etc and all up and running fine great
so i called on 22th dec and asked to be put on the BT home essentials package for my mum but he said he tried but that wasnt possible as the account was in my name i asked to change it to my mums anme and he said he would action that and get back to me with later that day nothing happened.
so i rang on 27th again and explained and was told that they couldn't do that but what SHOULD have happened was a existing line take over. so he set that up and set it up as a totally new account and a existing line take over and everything went thru and it was straight onto Bt home essential's with a start date of 11 Jan. i recived all the emails and that looks like its gonna be good
I asked what would happen to the previous contract? as i did a new account within the 14 day cooling off period would that just be voided? he said it would I dont want to be liable of a 2 yr fibre 1 account?
it doesnt say anything on my BT account page that its ending?
