Re: bill is too high

You need to provide more details about what package and any addons etc that you may have before any one can even begin to answer your question.

Re: bill is too high

@HarryChen  I'm guessing because you don't renegotiate at contract renewal or switch ISP's for a cheaper service?

Or has as been suggested, you are perhaps on a package with other addon's that are ramping up the cost. The ball is entirely in your court as to whether you take the time out to investigate why you are paying so much.

the bill too high

at the moment I am run out of contract. so pay about £66 per month.

I tried 48 months new contract about broadband . the new deals is about £33 per month, I choose it, but when I check out , the price is £62.65 per month.

why?

Re: the bill too high

Chances are you currently have a Halo benefit add on , and the monthly price for that is being added to your monthly broadband fee when you go through the order process, so it’s not an accurate comparison to Sky , if you Halo (or any other extras over just the broadband service) you will need to call if you want them removed, this unfortunately seems to be not particularly easy to accomplish.

Presumably you mean a 24 month minimum not 48 months  .

Re: the bill too high

@HarryChen  You must know what package and addon’s you have? It’s detailed on your monthly bill.

If you’re not happy with what you’re paying just speak to BT or switch ISP, it really isn’t difficult.

Just to clarify, this is a customer to customer forum, you’re not communicating directly with anyone at BT. It’s entirely up to you to make a decision on taking things forward. If you do call BT, be prepared for a sales pitch by enthusiastic salespersons, after all that is their job. If you’re not interested in talking to them and are prepared to walk away, just switch ISP online and move on.

@HarryChen
As others have said, you need to be more specific regarding which particular package you are currently on and whether that includes any add-ons such as Halo, a calling plan or TV.  It will tell you in your account in MyBT and on the bill itself what you have and what exactly it is that you're paying for.
