lesson learnt about renewing and on line offers

I recently when through all the hassle of renewals, daily price changes, retention team with no power

a complete computer says no situation

i was offered a better deal on line , i called BT because i had a question about my home phone number and was told that the offer that was in front of me on my screen was not available to me ?

they then offer a much worse package on line

later i was told that i should have been offer the deal (6 months free) but BT/EE is denying this of course

so the lesson learnt is if you see a deal on line when out of contract, click on line, set it up and then call retentions

has anyone else had this issue ?

Re: lesson learnt about renewing and on line offers

I renewed recently and initially started with retentions then moved to cancellations and negotiated a deal better than I had with perseverance. so it can be done just need to know what BT and other ISP offers are currently
