BT broadband ending?

A couple of months ago I received emails saying my account would end unless I contacted BT. At the time I was told I was fine as I am still on copper wire and nothing needs to change. Today I was told my bt broadband is ending but I could move to EE (I was on rolling contract). Is this true as I have neighbours who are on fix term contracts who haven’t been contacted. Thanks

Re: BT broadband ending?

BT Broadband is not ending. The migration to EE was stopped and has not been restarted.

If you are on a rolling contract you will be paying slightly more than if you were on a Fixed Term Contract however you do not need to go onto a Fixed Term Contract unless you want to and you do not need to move to EE unless you want to.

How are you being contacted, is it a letter or email or text? Are you sure that it is BT that is contacting you and not a scammer?

Re: BT broadband ending?

Do you have a landline phone in addition to your BT broadband which has not yet moved to digital voice ?

Re: BT broadband ending?

I had an email but contacted BT through MyBT as I’m always cautious. So it was real.

Re: BT broadband ending?

Had email but replied via MyBT. No additional details or payment information given. I have been on a rolling contract with landline (don’t use land line)
