Hi
Same issue for me.
I have hundreds of photos to downloads ...
From photo album it will only allow me to do it in 60s.
If i go to devices - all are empty when i download
Please help - starting to panic tas these are 20 years worth of photos of my kids!!
Thanks
Sam
@Lila Appreciate the moderator’s involved so should be sorted. But am curious. When choosing the ‘Download’ option within the app (there should be three options ‘Download’ ‘Open Web’ ‘ Your Cloud’) and selecting a device folder. Does the cloud symbol show that it is syncing and do you get a notice of the files being downloaded?
When you choose Download in the app, it disappears whilst downloading , but if you open it back up it shows progress.
Download using BT Cloud app, not the web browser.
Nope - it didn't work.
Strangely, downloading from the web did as that was how I got all my folders and subfolders on the USB originally, a few while back. I started using that as the cloud was so cumbersome when it came to searching.
Good luck to everyone else though!
I am now free to leave BT as I can't see any advantage in staying.
@PeterJM123 Yes of course, forgot that it disappears once the download starts.
But can’t emphasise enough that the desktop app ( provided it installed fine and is the latest version ) is the way to go. Also downloading stuff can take a VERY long time even at a typical 70Mbps. Some 9hrs for about 280GB.
And if you had the app already being used for backup on the PC and on your Android and iPhone and tablets, you should see all the mobile device stuff in the PC’s BT Cloud folder.
I know! That's what SHOULD have happened but for so many people isn't happening.
I personally would trust a BT app on Apple so don't use it - just for the laptop. I left mine downloading overnight (the 2nd attempt after reinstalling app etc etc) and still no difference.
C'est la vie. All BT apps have now been removed, I'm happy to say 🙂
Well, they’ve all worked for me. On my iPhones and Android and iPad. And my Windows PC. Just lucky I guess.
But I suppose with loads of people out there on various PCs / devices with varying builds etc.. it’s obviously not going to end well for some I suppose. Which clearly it hasn’t for you. Take care.
