I have broadband from EE and wondered whether EE WIFI-X can be used for hot-spots when outside?
If so can someone please enlighten me the setup for the selections below?
EAP Method?
Phase 2 Authentication?
CA Certificate?
Identity?
I do have a sim with a mobile web tarrif which isn't EE, but it would be nice to be able to automatically connect to a EE WIFI-X hot-spot when out and about.
If it's not used then no worries as I'll continue to use my 5G when outside or connect to a WiFi wherever I happen to be if there's one available that is.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks.
Seems to be too much hassle trying to connect to ee Wi-Fi x
I can only connect to them using an EE mobile to authenticate (change EAP method to SIM).
When you refer to EE Mobile do you mean an EE sim?
That will be it then, one must have an EE sim to be able to connect to an EE WIFI-X hot-spot.
Correct but it could also be considered a legacy service for normal customers in that although it still works, it isn’t really supported.
You probably also need an android phone to be able to change the EAP method. This isn’t possible on iOS so you’d need to either install a certificate (not available) or alternatively EE could incorporate it in their carrier bundle files which they don’t (the only one included is for EE WiFi-Auto which connects you to WiFi at places like on the London Underground and some other locations where EE has chosen to provide hotspots).
