EE Wi-Fi log in impossible

Hi. 
I am a BT broadband customer and once a month I have some work in a village where I can’t get a mobile signal. On occasion I will use the EE Wi-Fi if I need to connect in order to contact anyone. It’s a bit of a faff but just bearable but last time…

upon logging in it wants to send me an email to verify my email address before allowing me to use the Wi-Fi. And guess what?? I need the Wi-Fi to access my emails. Who thinks of this? You really couldn’t make it up.

thanks for that. I have sorted it now. But it was impossible at the time.
I was commenting on the irony of the fact that I needed to access my emails in order to connect to the Wi-Fi.

It was like having my keys locked in the car.
