Internet on the mive

I use a bt(EE) hot spot when out and about I now find I can't do this as need to receive a code via email, which I obviously can't access without Internet access. I wondered if this was a new one time log in so tried at home I got through the first bit but then they sent me a text code. I have no mobile signal at home and use WiFi calling but as my phone had switched to EE with no Internet access the code didn't arrive. Any suggestions?

Re: Internet on the mive

For Android, if you look in the WiFi Calling settings there should be an option for Calling Preferences. If you set this to WiFi Preferred, it will stick with WiFi Calling & not switch back to the mobile network if a faint whiff of signal appears briefly.

No idea about Apple or if indeed it will solve the main issue.

This doesn't solve the problem of needing Internet access to get a code to get Internet access. I don't know wether this will be every time I try and use a hot spot

Re: Internet on the mive

Obviously you do have Internet access when trying the procedure at home, so you can complete that. Whether that's a one-time code I've no idea as I don't use it.

When out and about and connecting your mobile phone to EEWifi how can your mobile phone using your mobile phones network not receive the PIN which will the allow you to access EEWifi?

Re: Internet on the mive

I don't see why you need a PIN to connect to EEWifi it should just be a case of entering you BTID but if it is case and don't want to use mobile data until you are connected I suspect  there is nothing you can do.
