I joined BT last week and I am still not able to change the security settings through the BT app (or by logging in to my account online). Each time I click Activate Parental controls or switch on web protect it advises that it can take up to 2 hours. Fair enough except that it never does! I have tried many times over the last week and still no security settings are activated. It is getting very frustrating and made worse by several phone calls and messages to BT without any success! Nobody so far at BT can fix the issue and I'm running out of options as to what to do. Anyone had the same problem?
Hi @JL2022 welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm really sorry your parental controls are not working. Are you using a BT ID that was previously used for a BT account before and if so have your new account details been added to that?

Yes it's a BT id previously linked to an older account but has now been updated with my new account. I am also shown as account holder so everything looks as it should be.
