Hello.
I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction.
I have BT Fibre 2 Broadband, with access to BT Cloud, which I have been trying to use in the past as an option to backup my files and folders - Music, Videos, and Documents. However, it has now come to my attention that there are contacts on my BT Cloud which were backed up from an Android Phone, which I no longer have. I wish to delete these contacts because I do not need them on my BT Cloud.
Whenever I try to delete them on the web interface, I get greeted with an error message telling me that I cannot delete them on the website but have to delete them from the Android Phone which I no longer have.
An outbound call to BT Customer Service resulted in me being told that there is no way they can be deleted.
I am sure there has to be a way to remove them, because refusal to delete personal information without good reason at least, would constitute a breach of the GDPR and the DPA Section 2.
With this in mind, has anyone been able to delete their unwanted contacts off their BT Cloud without access to their old smartphone which they've gotten rid of?
Regards.
