Thanks for letting me know about the phone change. Was hoping you’d got it sorted at BT’s end. Do you know what Android version your old phone was? For my Motorola phone, rather than a straight RAM space issue it may be the way it’s managed by the phone- rather than the Android operating system per se. Bit of a pain if need to get the phone changed just for BT Cloud.
Android 10.0.1. It had been out of support for some time, shame as still a good phone ☹️
That’s interesting. My phone is Android 10 and BT are saying it’s a RAM issue - There’s 2GB - Yours too was Android 10 with loads of RAM - 6GB? But that didn’t work either. Regardless of Android OS support expiring, the BT Cloud spec says it is supported from Android 4. BT need to give a better reason / answer. From this limited experience, low RAM is not it.
This is an old thread but just to say BT/Syncronoss are still working on my issue with the Android 10 phone not backing up. So there may be a solution. Just need to be a bit more patient.
Appreciate this is an old thread but, should anyone be interested, the issue is now fixed. Well for me in any case. The BTCloud for Android software has recently been updated to 22.12.97 and seems to be working okay. I can now back up photos from my phone. It’s been many months, perhaps over a year, since I first raised the issue. But good to see it now working. Oh, it says it suitable for Android 7 onwards.
I'm pleased things have worked out for you. I can confirm that my photos are still being backed up since my issue was resolved 🙂
