Uploading first time

Go to solution

Just started, I chose 'Documents' to upload. Forgot that there was a file containing video of all my 10mile bikerides. Probably hundreds of Megabytes useless. How do I stop it from uploading, doesnt seem to be a way?

@shedloads

If you are referring to BT Cloud. Then as a last resort you could go into Windows Task Manager, and end the task.

Then move those videos out of your documents folder, and then restart BT Cloud.

You could just try moving the videos somewhere else, and BT Cloud may notice the change.

Also see https://community.bt.com/t5/Broadband-Extras-Apps-from-BT/How-to-pause-BT-Cloud-backup/td-p/2004168

You may like to try that first, before you move the videos.

Thanks for that Keith, I tried things like that. ie Stopping the computer and restarting during the upload, it didnt work. I deleted the folder (there was no value in the videos, just the same route over and over!) However, I know now that once its started, theres no stopping it. Ill be more careful in the future!

@shedloads Did you try as @Keith_Beddoe suggested, Task Manager > End task?

Restarting the computer most likely picks up where you left off. So, firstly, kill the upload process and then restart the computer.
