Wanting an extra black disk (problems)

I ordered and received an upgrade to BT Halo 3+, the Tech Expert came to install this on Sat 22 Oct and ordered me an extra black disk to give me the necessary WiFi coverage, this has been dispatched Mon 24 Oct,  but BT are expecting the original disk to be returned to them, with a fine of £30 if I fail to return it.
But I don’t want to return it I need the extra disk to give me the guaranteed coverage.
Simple fix would be to cancel the return request, and I will keep both of the disks.
I called BT this morning with 15 min wait then operator just dropped my call.
I Called BT this afternoon 30 min wait spoke to someone who didn’t know what to do and transferred me to another number, with another wait 30 min, then the phone battery ran out.
What do I have to do to progress this?
