APPS NOT WORKING

Go to solution

H Folks,

Since yesterday there has only been one blue light showing on my bt box the end result being that I can watch tv but can't watch any catch up tv channels.This happened a few weeks ago over the week end but both lights came on on Monday and we were back to normal.I've switched the hub and box on and off with out success.Any bright ideas?

Thanks

Richard

How is your TV Box connected to your hub? Only one blue light suggests that it's lost its internet connection. If you're using powerline adapters between the TV Box and Hub, then reboot them all too.

Thanks for responding Darren.Excuse my seventynine year old ignorance but I think that it's wifi only.                                          I thought that the loss might have been something do with the International  problem on Friday or on the same day I watched a web based rugby match via my laptop fed into the television.The code showing over the  Apps does indicate an internet loss but I'm hoping that as previously it may correct itself today.

Our records show that the BT Box you have connected is an older one (DTR-T2100), which doesn't support WiFi.
There will be 3 cables connected to the back of the TV Box - one for power, one to connect to the TV, and a 3rd one (usually black, with a yellow end) connecting it to the internet - can you see where this 3rd cable goes?

Thanks for the advice Darren.The yellow ended cable lead to a black box plugged into the mains.I rebooted it and the Apps are now working.In fairness the box was hidden behind the legs of some of my wife's ornaments so that I wasn't aware of it.Gold Star for this.

@DarrenDev

I’m glad @RichardT09 @got his error fixed, but just for the record, there can be up to ten cables connected to a DTR-T2100; Power, Ethernet, HDMI, SCART, TV Aerial In, TV Aerial Out, L Audio, R Audio, Video, S/PDIF.

Maybe not all at once, though 😛
