Advice for BT TV/broadband package/set up

Hi,

Hope this is ok to post and in the correct forum section.

I am currently with Sky (TV And broadband) but unable to upgrade to Sky Q as they are unable to put a new dish on my house due to access issues so it’s time to leave and thinking of joining BT.

Can anyone help/advise with some questions I have below please  - would be much appreciated?

 - I have a landline with BT do I need to still keep this if I take out EE TV and broadband?.

 - What is the set up of EE TV/broadband?  Does an engineer do the installation and do any outside cables need to be drilled into the house near the tv?  My tv is in the front room but not near the front external walls so there could be an issue with running cables.

 - I want to access Sky Sports and Sky Atlantic  - is there a specific package I need to take out?

 - I would need an additional box for our dining room but the main box would be for the front room - is that possible/expensive?

 - Also we have no roof or loft aerial – do I need one?

I am not technical at all and really need some advice.  Would an engineer be able to do a site visit first before signing up to see if there are any potential issues?

Many thanks

Re: Advice for BT TV/broadband package/set up

Keep your BT landline ? , if you have Sky broadband how do you have a ‘BT’ landline , do you have Sky and BT on the same ‘line’ and old product called ‘line share’ or do you have two lines , or is the landline actually Sky but you refer to it as a BT line because historically the ‘line’ was a BT line (it’s Openreach not BT these days )
You can have BT/EE without the telephone option if you want , no one has to take telephone if all they want is broadband.
Sky Sports and Sky Atlantic means you need Now TV (or Sky )but you can get Now TV via EE TV .
Yes I believe you can get additional boxes for TV’s in different rooms .
You can get EE TV that doesn’t need an aerial, the ‘broadcast’ channel delivered over the internet but there may be less channels compared to an aerial .
No site visit is made before if you order EE/BT broadband with EE TV , it’s also possible that if FTTP is available and you don’t have it yet , you get FTTP installed as part of the deal , otherwise you install and setup the box yourself although there may be a paid option to get someone to do it (but it’s not difficult)
