As it is not possible to buy a Pro Box from BT does a Pro Box bought from ebay work okay in a BT Broadband supplied home?

Technically yes it would allow freeview and apps, you would need an active TV subscription for extra content.
The pro box is not for sale and is only ever on loan, so there's nothing stopping it getting blocked by BT in the future.

Thanks for that information. Guess it would be best to wait and see if BT retail these boxes at some future date like they did with the older youview boxes.
