I am currently out of contract for my broadband and calls and do not currently have BT TV. However, there are one or two attractive deals available with one including BT TV Entertainment for £6 a month. As I already pay more than that for Netflix alone, the offer is clearly attractive.
I note that BT recommend that the TV box should be connected to the Smart Hub by ethernet. That would be impossible in my case, so would it work reliably if connected to a Complete WiFi black disc in the same room or by ethernet to a powerline extender? I am just wondering what other people's practical experience is.
Either should work fine, especially on the extremely low res offered on Netflix Basic included with that £6 offer. But as both WiFI & Powerline are reliant to some extent on the local environment, only trying it for yourself will provide the answer. Although even if one fails the other should be viable unless you're very unlucky.
