BT YouView Box Crashes During Time Shift

Pretty much only retained EE/BT TV package for recording and time shift after Rugby no longer exclusive to BT but am considering cancelling it due to constant crashes.  Recording and playback is fine.  However, when pausing during adverts, TV Box freezes when skipping forward to live TV again.  Restart is the only way to recover.  This is a greater than 60% issue.  Mostly happens when watching U & Dave but also other channels.  Paranoid maybe???.. but there is a distinct signal broadcast just as the adverts end from Dave, which is exactly when it crashes.  I can hear it quite clearly through my surround system.  Anyone else??

As that is an older box it may be issues with the hard drive. I would suggest making the software is up to date via the settings menu and failing that I would do a factory reset on the box.  Also if the issue persists BT are likely to replace with the newer Pro Box, my fried had your model of box replaced free of charge about a month back for a different issue and got a pro box

Yes, very much the same.  I will contact BT to see if I can get a replacement box.
