BT box not recording Series as requested

When I request the bt box to ‘record series’ this does not always happen and the request disappears from Scheduled recordings..

Does anyone know why?

It may be an issue with either the boxes software or hard drive. I would try a software update via the settings (cog wheel top right of the menu) to do this go to the bottom and it's the middle box.

If this does not resolve issue or if box is already up to date it will likely need a factory reset which deletes the recodings from the drive (next box over to the right)

However if you have an older set top box with the two blue strip lights then it may be worth seeing if you can get your box replaced

No seems totally random unfortunately that does not make analysing the problem any easier.

While this may be a fault with the box, as @Manatarms84 suggests, another possibility is a failure at the broadcaster.

So, what box have you got, precisely, and what are examples of series recordings that failed, and did they fail completely, or only record the first programme, or what? And did they show failures for subsequent recordings, or just nothing?

It’s a good idea to have your box paired with the EE TV app, on a mobile or a tablet. This works whether or not you have an EETV subscription, and besides allowing you to set recordings, series or individual, remotely,  it will show all the episodes of a series programme that are in your timeframe, whereas the YouView box will only ever show the next one up.

Also, depending on which box you have, there may be a more granular reset you can try. Give the model number, and I will advise.

It’s model no. 91-00931 the one with the two blue lights on the front. We do not currently buy a tv package  from bt but bought the box from them.

 

We have not found a specific pattern of programmes that disappear from the scheduled list but include Repair Shop BBC1, Grace ITV and Big Cats 24/7  BBC2.

 

Having requested record series and them appearing on the Schedule they later vanish and do not record any others in the series.

We do not get any failed to record messages..

 

Any ideas please?

Settings/Device Information/Model please, DTRT something, possibly 2100.
