Put on my BT box pro tonight to be greeted by EE logo and says set up will only take a few minutes. Have been trying all evening with no luck. What's the answer. Have had no problems with box before tonight
Sounds like it's factory reset itself. Mine did that a couple of months ago without warning. Just turned it on one day & it had reset, wiping 500GB of recordings.
You haven't said what "Trying all evening" means. Can you not complete the setup or are you hoping it will go back to how it was? If the latter then it's almost certainly a forlorn hope.
@Anonymous thanks for reply. I tried the usual things switching off and on again, unplugging aerial , ethernet , BT button on front all to no avail. It's still the same this morning just stuck on set up screen. From what you say I need a new box ?
Sounds that way.
@Anonymous thanks for your help. Who do I call or where do I go to get a replacement?
Standard 150 I'm afraid. Make sure you have a flask of coffee & a packed lunch first!
Might be worth attempting a factory reset first if you haven't already.

@Anonymous thanks for those suggestions have now tried a reboot (again) and a reset but with no luck. Am away for weekend so on Wednesday will call 150. Wish me luck and thanks for your help.
@david1982 from your posts it looks like the box is not able to load the system from it's disk drive . The reset you mention in your last post , was it via the box buttons as described

Are you getting any messages currently after the Youview image or is just now hanging.
(if the reset process is not able to load a fresh system over the Internet then it sounds fairly terminal).
@zulu17 thanks for reply. Used the link @Anonymous mentioned in message 6 in this thread which is same as you mentionand after EE tv screen and Youview screen I'm back at start setup where screen freezes
Because the EE blue light kept flashing and the box would not start-up I did a factory reset . Got the set-up screen telling me to connect the antenna but no button on the EE remote would move beyond that page. Just before giving up and deciding a call was necessary I tried the old Youview remote. It worked! A software upgrade was installed and after several minutes the box was live. However, although I am able to switch the box on/off with the EE remote I can only change channel with the youview one. Is my EE remote the culprit or the BT TV box pro?
