Re: BTTV colours going odd (grey green and pink hues) power down and restart needed. Box on the way

What I should have asked first @stevetucknott - which version of TNT Sports is this affecting?  Regular TNT Sports?  Or TNT Sports Ultimate, or TNT Sports Ultimate HDR?  I'd immediately jumped into assuming TNT Sports Ultimate, where a higher spec is needed.

Regarding this particular fault - as you already know, it was raised as a bug with YouView at the time, however when we asked for people to assist with further information, the problem disappeared.  I asked for it to be reopened, but again, you were unable to repro.  It seems to be back now, however I'm currently not working for BT so can't check on the progress.  I'll take a look when I'm back in May.

One thing I will say though - I believe this is only affecting the older TV Boxes, and is only affecting a small number of users.  It's therefore unlikely to get enough attention to ever be worked on.  If you're seeing the issue on a TV Box Pro or TV Box Mini, then it would be a higher priority.

@DarrenDev

That again loses me. I'm using a Youview box with a subscription to Now (Sky) and TNT sports )(HD - not 4k) - it loses me because I'm using the STB and cables provided with that box. Surely the box and cables should be capable of supporting whichever and whatever services are offered on that platform? If EE/BT offer 4k with the same STB and cables, I would expect that set up to support 4k.

Originally, the issue (for me) was with the Sky live transmissions - and only appeared to affect the HD transmission. I could watch the equivalent SD broadcast without an issue. When I had the issue originally and after posting here (looking for a solution) I raised the issue with Now/Sky. That issue (ie with Sky live broadcasts) no longer appears to be there - BUT - the issue is now on the TNT HD broadcasts . I haven't checked, if like Sky, the issue is specific to HD.

To be honest, I didn't expect a solution - given that this issue is old and nothing was done when first reported - it was meant more as a 'protest' comment. Like writing an 'angry letter' to the editor of a newspaper.
