Hi all, thanks for the replies and suggestions. As an update I called BT helpline and had an online talk with an engineer. The BT box was 12+ years old and they believed this was the issue as it was not compatible with the Router etc. We recieved a new EE Box and everything works much better, no glitches, no error codes and everything is much faster.
So issue resolved, in short I think the BT box didn't like the new router.
