Re: Bt tv schedule

Go to solution

Is it just me who finds it amusing that this thread about BT's continuing failure to resolve the schedule problem is labelled "resolved"?

Re: Bt tv schedule

The whole thing is still a mess. TNT Sports 2 is showing as 'no information available' for the MotoGP Sprint race on Saturday and for Moto3 and Moto2 on Sunday, so I can't record them at present (all overnight, so there's a day's less time to put it right). Tonight's NFL match says 'bitesize highlights' when it's a 5.5 hour live program. Other things have needed readding during the week too, can't remember exactly what. The same problems as before, little improved.

Re: Bt tv schedule

Today's Sky Sports Premier League matches both dropped out of my Scheduled Recordings list this weekend as well, so the issue is NOT resolved. Two issues I can see for next weekend - the F1 is correctly identified as Abu Dhabi on Sky Sports F1, but on Sky Sports Main Event it says Mexico. Also, Arsenal and Aston Villa's match on TNT Sports 1 is stated as being UCL (Champions League, which Villa aren't in this year) rather than Premier League. Inevitably once corrected these will drop out of the planner and need readding later. Also interesting that the Qatar Grand Prix qualifying on Sky Sports tonight is being hosted by Steve Jones and David Coulthard - they're the Channel 4 presenters.... The system is still fundamentally not reliably doing what it's advertised as doing

Re: Bt tv schedule

I recorded the Europa & Conference League highlights yesterday afternoon. I got the beginning ok, but because the EPG didn’t update for the programme which followed immediately afterwards, my recording was 2 hrs 46 minutes rather than the 1 hr that it should have been. We have been promised big improvements from next week onwards according to a post from Darren on the EE forums.

Smug alert

This afternoon (I won't say enjoying) I'll  be watching the red's v west ham in glorious UHD for the combined price of £24.

One of life's mysteries why people pay literally hundreds more with EE tv for less.

PS

Disney + is bloody good as well

Re: Bt tv schedule

This morning's TNT Sports Premier League recording also failed, by the way. Luckily I spotted it pretty soon after the coverage started. It might be time to just get a Firestick or similar and subscribe to Discovery and NowTV directly (I'd lose most of the Sky Sports stuff that I can't watch live, but maybe the saving is worth it). EE TV is fundamentally a faulty product, even before the recent scheduling issues. Maybe the Experts here can convince me otherwise.

How many times have we been promised this? Must be double figures by now.

You wouldn't lose anything that you didn't watch live....it's all on stream these days..give now tv a week and I guarantee you won't return to EE tv

Re: Bt tv schedule

Spoiler

I don't find that 'it's all on stream these days' when I look at the Now TV app or web page. Formula 2 and 3 aren't featured at all, NFL full matches aren't, and even 45-minute NFL highlights usually aren't, just a few minutes of highlights which completely miss the ebb and flow of a match (and the time difference makes it unrealistic to watch most NFL live). The modern viewing ecosystem generally feels ill-suited to sports fans who can't watch every single thing live.

Re: Bt tv schedule

I record the MNF ( 4 and an half hours of analysis plus a live match which invariably overruns into the next programme) and Game of the Day on a regular basis. Neither of these are repeated in the schedules at all, nor are they available in full on catch up on the NOW app.
