Cannot Activate HBO Max

Hi,

I recently signed up for EETV(Though still a BT Broadband custom) - And it says I get Now TV/Netflix & HBO MAX as part of my subscription. But, no matter what guides I follow I always end up at the HBOMax website, unable to login, or create an account(You need to pick a paid plan to do so).

So my question is, is the HBO Max App not free as I thought? I've tried using the QR Codes, and even the /activate page on HBO max. 

If it is a part of my sub, could someone point me in the right direction?

If you took an EE TV subscription with Sport, then you'll have access to TNT Sports and can activate via My BT.

If you have a package with Now Entertainment then you need to activate via Now TV.

You dont actually get a HBO max subscription .

You do get access to HBO content through your now tv subscription. 

If you have TNT sports then the only way to watch it is through HBO max but again you can only watch the sports and nothing else

@Kodikid A Now TV Entertainment subscription includes HBO Max content within the app, but also entitles the user to a HBO Max (standard with ads) subscription to use that app too.

Yes but my point stands..you need an actual HBO subscription to access content on the HBO app.

Yes you can access HBO content through now tv. But that's through the now app.

You didn't read my comment @Kodikid - Now TV Entertainment subscribers can request an activation link for HBO Max, to allow a direct login to that app. i.e. an actual HBO Max subscription.

It's the same with Now direct. You can access the HBO Max app after contacting Now for access. But I don't see the point if you have a Boost in place as the app is riddled with ads.

There is a little more content in HBO Max than Now TV, and HBO Max movies in the Now TV app require the Now Cinema add-on, however they're free (with ads) in HBO Max.

And I think the "with ads" is the killer. If you don't mind settling for continuous interuptions ok. Personally I'd take a Cinema sub for a month and watch any movies I'm interested in ad free.
