My father in law has dementia and struggles with his TV guide. Is there anyway to disable the 24hr view so he can only view what is on today?
Hi @sarah-ford
Welcome to the community.
Disabling the 24 hour view or locking the guide isn't a feature at the moment. I know it may not help too much, but if you press the green button, the TV guide will display what is on right now.

Hello Sarah,
I'm sorry to hear that this is causing a problem for your Father-in law.
There isn't a way to only display the current 24 view of the TV guide - however there are a couple of things that may help to clearly see what is on TV now and next (and previously).
1) if you press the green button (while in the TV guide), the guide will jump to what is on right now.
2) you can move to a different day and therefore back to 'today' by using the 'forward' & 'rewind' buttons (these are either side of the 'play/pause' button).
This will move to TV programs exactly 24 hours ahead (i.e. the same time tomorrow, then next day, the day after, or yesterday etc.) Once again pressing the green button will take you right back to the current time and date.
I hope this helps!
Steve
Thank you both for replying. I thought that might be the case. Unfortunately he does not recognise dates and time anymore and trying to teach him to use different buttons is out the question, he currently just keeps scrolling forward until coronation street appears. Maybe a suggestion for future development to help vulnerable customers?!
Thanks for the suggestion, @sarah-ford
I messaged the EE TV team for help originally, before I replied, and explained the situation. I'm sure this is something they'll consider.
Sorry that I couldn't offer more help.
Chris
