Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

Based on my experience what sync issues? Is it maybe something to do with your setup?

Blimey! Plenty of posts about this on both this forum and others.

Not my setup no, Sky was absolutely fine with exactly the same setup.

Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain very well.

HDMI from BT box to my TV.

Then an HDMI cable from the HDMI ARC socket on my TV to the Sonos Beam.

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

That's my setup too. Bt box to Samsung tv. Earc port to sonos.  Tried every adjustment to remedy and only solution is to switch bt box back to stereo.  If I compare to the terrestrial channels on the TV itself, No lip sync issues.

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

Yes same here. I have Freesat and Freeview on the TV itself. Both fine.

this didn’t happen on Sky with the exact same setup. Also doesn’t happen on the latest BT TV Mini box. It’s purely on the Pro.

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

I have an old bt dtr t2100 box. Plugged it in and tested if lip sync still exists. Sound perfect on terrestrial and stream/sports channels. Might just be placebo effect but convinced my sky sports football is clearer on the old box (stream channel)?? There isn't a haze that I always feel there is on the tv pro box.  Maybe I've got a dud

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

My set up is the same as others.

If I select the surround setting the audio sync is awful, so have to switch back to stereo.

The lack of apps, the poor integration of ITVX etc, do we think Youview is on the way out ?

All in all a great shame, as the Pro Box could have been really good.

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

@nickmorc

Talktalk has got 'round' the issue by doing effectively what sony does.

They got a google TV box that runs Google TV OS. It has one special app though called 'youview' which is to access the ip/terrestrial channels.

However every app except Iplayer, itvx, and all4 are in the google side. Yes you do get apple tv, you do get disney+ etc etc.

Perhaps BT might have to go down that route. The box is untested on BT and I doubt it would work if one tried. (well the app via my sonyTV does nothing and thats connected to the internet as well)

Re: Do we have a proper fix for the Pro audio sync problems?

Is anyone still having sync issues?

For me it’s got even worse recently. When I turn the box on it’s a good few seconds out of sync. The way I fix it is to into audio delay in settings, change it to a value, then back to 0. Then it’s fine.

I’m really surprised this is still an issue. Never happened with Sky+HD or Sky Stream.
