Does the RETURN of an old Faulty BT TV box need the HDMI cable sending as well

Im Returning a faulty old DDTR 2100 box back to BT thats faulty . Im not

Ive got the returns bag.having a new box sent back , ( out of contract )

Does the RETURN of the old Faulty box need the HDMI cable sending as well, ? or just the box, power cable, and Remote
