I have just had my faulty BT Pro Box replaced, the replacement EE box is outwardly slightly different but presume has the same software. All my subscription packages loaded seamlessly however but I am thinking the HD picture quality on all the channels I have tried is not as sharp as before. I haven't change any of my TV picture settings so that's not the reason. Could there be another reason ?

@tuanton Have you checked the picture settings on your new Pro tv box rather than the tv? home>settings>picture & sound.
@tuanton As @Brucemeister5 mentions the box will have various options that can be set
Typically these would range hrough 720p, 1080i, 1080p, UHD 50fps 8bit, UHD 50fps 10bit.
Depending upon what you are watching and what setting you opt for the box will do various upscaling or downscaling of the broadcast stream.
Do you know what setting you were using on your old box ?
I probably had the old BT box on its default settings. Followed your suggestion and changed HDMI display to 1080 and it's quite improved.
Thanks for suggestions. 1080p seems best together with a couple of TV pictures adjustments.
