Yes, everything gets recorded as it should, and for those of us who understand the ‘cosmetic bug’ it can be coped with. But for anyone who isn’t aware of it, it will be (insert suitable adjective) confusing 😛

Nothing has changed for many years, and no-one has mentioned it before, so I think the adjective you're looking for is "mildly". 😛

We've actually spent the last few weeks significantly improving the YouView recording experience in the apps - updates will be in the store in the next few days. We'll do our best to improve this issue too, if the data allows.

We can't control the actual recording @Midnight_Voice - we just send an instruction to the YouView cloud with the programmeCrid and seriesCrid, and it handles the rest.

I'll let you into a little secret - in 5 weeks and 1 day, I won't care anymore. After almost 29 years in BT, I've decided to leave ...

... so no offence taken. I totally agree with you about this, and many other decisions that are made. I just have to trust that they were made for good reasons that I will never know.
