My Entertainment package renewal is due soon. I have been offered the new Entertainment package including basic Netflix for £20 a month or I could just continue on my Entertainment package for £12 a month.
Why would I pay £8 a month extra just for Netflix?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You might also want to question what you are getting for your £12pm. You will lose AMC channel from 28th September. I believe that this would mean you would only get the NOW Entertainment channels on whichever box you currently have.
Not much of a loss for me. I don’t really watch AMC.
Fair enough. Are you happy with your box? I understand why you might not want Netflix, but you’re paying for the loan of the box as part of your subscription.
I’ve got the latest box and I’m happy with it

Because if you wanted Netflix, going direct would cost you £10.99 for the same plan per month.
If you don't want Netflix the point is mute.
There is also no such thing as "Netflix Basic" any longer, so BT should update their material.
Don’t BT charge £4 a month extra for full Netflix?
I have no idea what BT charge extra for.
Netflix only has 3 plans now, Standard with adverts, Standard and Premium. You cannot buy ‘Standard with adverts’ through a third party, so I can only guess the £4 extra is the difference between the old “basic” package and “Standard”?
It is, perhaps, relevant to note that you can get the Entertainment package direct from Now Tv for £6.99 a month for six months and then £9.99 a month after that.
I am kind of regretting jumping back to BT TV but I hope next year I will be pleasantly surprised as I have another year and a half of my contract!
Fair to say if I'm not, I will just be ditching and going direct through Now and buying my own Freeview recorder.
