@NigelB72 Hopefully it’ll as easy as that but I can just envisage the app not accepting my credentials
Nigel
That's what I dont get
Why outbid ( 2 billion) TNT then hand the rights back?
Surely it would have been smarter to let TNT's bid succed then take over
BSF
It's a completely new app...just create an account and off you go
@Kodikid the rights bidding process would have started and been completed before the HBO/Warner debacle started
@Kodikid The email I’ve received doesn’t say anything about creating a new account on hbo max but to login with the same credentials as you do on discovery plus
@NigelB72 At no extra cost...plus £3 price increase from April in my case. It's good that there's the possibility to upscale HBO Max, if you want (for whatever reason you couldn't upgrade to Paramount+ Premium Tier and couldn't link an existing Netflix account to the core account)
@NigelB72We can only hope so (that it's available via a new JV in some capacity: one which involves a new distribution / marketing arrangement with BT Group). Not wishing to sound too controversial, but I yearn to a return of the sports network of old - one with a proper sense of identity, that understood & respected UK / Ireland consumer values and appointment-to-view scheduling with a rich and varied portfolio that complemented other sports channels and represented reasonable value for money.
Appointment to view in a world of streaming....no thanks
@everybodyhatesChris it depends on what platform you're watching. I'm no longer a BT TV customer but I have Netflix and Paramount+ Premium linked to my primary account... And the base subscription is included in my package. HBO Max will be added next month along with Disney+... Upgrading both to Premium will still mean I'm a bit better off over subscribing direct.
