I'm surprised that your Samsung qn95a TV hasn't got Freeview as the specs show it's got 2 tuners for Freeview reception and quite frankly all TVs these days have either Freeview/FreeviewPlay and/or Freesat tuners.
I was surprised too
Everything says that it can receive TV channels over the aerial (terrestrial) if connected so I can't understand the issue.
@Seany10hatswrote:
I’ve got a Samsung qn95a and it doesn’t have freeview or freesat or freeview app availability.
Your TV has tuners for both Freeview HD and satellite (DVB-T2/S2 is shown on the specifications) - it may not be certified for Freeview Play but will certainly display the Freeview channels perfectly fine - just connect it to an aerial!
If you Google “does Samsung qn95a have freeview?” The first thing that comes up is No
Yes it can receive channels. On some rubbish called Samsung plusTV. Not freeview uk channels. You just get about 45 channels you’ve never heard of. All showing stuff like americas next top model
The tuner is for Samsung plus TV. Not freeview uk. No. Bbc1,2,3 , itv, itv2 itv3 ch4 or ch5
I think there's some confusion here.
Everything I've read indicate that it has Freeview (terrestrial TV) but not Freeview Play which is catchup built into the EPG.
TVPlus is an extra feature in addition to Freeview. My Panasonics have something similar but still have Freeview.
I've just Googled it and it does have Freeview but not Freeview Play...
My TV in front of me indicates it’s not there
