HELP PLEASE- BT BOX CONNECTION PROBLEM

Go to solution

Within last hour I cannot access any of my channels - subscribed or otherwise  on my BT Box. Initially message asked me to check Broadband connection which I did and shows connected. Still cannot access anything but normal TV programmes.

I have disconnected box several times for reboot and also re-loaded all channels. Would very much appreciate advice.

@tuantonIs the box connected to your smarthub with an Ethernet cable or are you using power line adapters? When you say that you can only access normal tv, I assume that you have an aerial connection. I would try unplugging your tv box completely for a while and I would also reboot the broadband connection. If that doesn’t work, it might also be worth checking for a software update on your box.

Tks for your helpful comments. I am connected with Ethernet LAN. By 'normal' channels I had a few more than what you would get with aerial connection e.g. sky news but not HD. Could not access any of the Sky or TNT sports channels but my BT package is the full one and there was no problem with Netflix and Sky Now. I have a fairly low i/t capability but I took up your suggestion regarding router reboot, switched router off at mains and left for  30 minutes and set up again.

It's now all working again 😃 Thank you so much for your help.

Great. I thought that would do the trick.
