Hide or get rid of apps on demand

Hello,

Can on-demand apps be hidden or deleted?

My son just found the CBS/Horror Bites app and can now watch 18 movies that he shouldn't be able to.

I have set up parental controls, but when I choose a movie, it doesn't ask me for my passcode.

We'd really appreciate any help.

Re: Hide or get rid of apps on demand

This has been raised before & there's no way to hide or remove apps or enforce the PIN requirement.

Don't know if @lampard1987 got anywhere? Might be worth having a look at Ofcom & maybe raising a complaint.

Hi @jameswbush

Which device are you using here  (if Bt Tv box which model) ?

looking  today on a BT TV box Pro  the Branding of the app no longer refers to Horror Bites . I believe rebranding to Legend occurred during the summer.

If I look at the Legend Catchup their are 18 titles , if selecting I  see a Content warning  which does ask for confirmation that you are over 18. Also it says  “Access to age restricted programmes can be protected by PIN  via the parental controls on your device”.

I haven’t proved  this myself on my box but certainly the app on the BT TV Pro box does indicate that it should be possible for that device.

@zulu17

I wonder if that was one of the maintenance fixes since that other thread? Shame they won't provide a change log.
