As far as I know @eyore26 you need the BT TV Extra subscription in order to be able to watch on a large screen. Without it you can only watch on small devices such as mobiles and tablets.

Why keep on about Now TV which I have never mentioned? I know I can get that and Prime and Netflix via the apps on my TV but not the BT service I pay for.
He keeps mentioning it because for many customers now the only "premium channels" available via BT TV are either NOW TV based, BT Sport related or AMC.
All previous packages have been wound down and had channels removed as deals expired.
It would be helpful to know what you think the BT service you pay for should look like? What specific channels or content are you unable to enjoy?

That makes sense, thank you. However, where do I find the BT TV Extra subscription as it doesn't come up when I search the BT site?
I can't find it either, as usual the Help pages aren't that much help.
Have you tried logging into your account and then Packages/TV?
I cancelled my BT TV some time ago but I'm wondering if you can upgrade through the app itself.
Post deleted - @Andy005 beat me to it.
I feel a if I am in a vicious circle
The BT site tells me to download the BT TV app on my Samsung TV and log in but when I do it tells me I need BT TV Extra which the BT site says is on the purchase pages, but it isn't!
I suspect the feature has been dropped with the move to flexible TV options and I'll just have to do without.
@eyore26 you have an old legacy plan 'TV Starter +Sport'
This gave you a Z4 box (small non recordable) with freeview, BT sport and AMC to watch on the Youview box, your BT Sport subscrition also includes app and online player support, so it's right you can watch BT Sport on an app, other content is Youview box only which is why it won't work, paying for app extra is pointless as it would only let you watch BT Sport on extra devices.
