IPC 6023 Error, only on F1 sky tv

On and off the last few months I’ve had the IPC 6023 message which prevents me watching or recording sky F1 tv. As a user the last 5 years my home network has been stable and there have been no changes. This ONLY happens on the F1 channel which is a **bleep**, the only reason I have the other BT sport channels is for F1.

I’ve reset the router, the Ee pro set top  box and the error always returns. The error happens if the Ee box is connected by WiFi or via high speed power line connectors, I can’t run an Ethernet cable directly to the box but as I’ve said I’m a long time BT Ip channel subscriber, never had the issue before but now it’s a regular occurrence. We are on fibre to premise, super stable.

EE support are hopeless. Simply ask me to turn off/ reset everything every time.

it almost feels like this is a sky f1 issue as this is the only Ip channel effected but that does not see, to make sense. To test I’ve recorded 5 hours of golf with no issues on one of the other channels.

id move to sky q  but out of principle I can’t and there are no other f1 options for live viewing and catch up recording in my area….no virgin here.

Re: IPC 6023 Error, only on F1 sky tv

Thanks for reaching out to us about this, @Gdotp.

IPC 6023 usually refers to a loss of data packets, and can have a number of different causes across your network, connection and account etc.

It's definitely odd that only F1 seems to be affected here, though.

Are you watching this in HD whilst the other channels are the SD equivalents, or are other HD channels definitely the same too?

It's worth double checking your Hub to make sure this is definitely set to Full Fibre mode, too:
