I have just got the new BT Pro TV box and I have the following error (IPC6023) on the streaming channels (NOWTV, BT Sport, etc). I have tried to get this resolved with customer services and an engineer has been out to see me but they cannot find an issue with my equipment.
I'm connecting through WiFi the internet works, Netflix and NOWTV apps work but the channels come up with the error. I've seen other people have had this problem and it has been resolved but I don't see a fix for it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I assume the WIFI you are connected to is directly to the BT Hub?
The error is loss of multicast packets, usually, this can mean there is a fault getting the packets to the TV Box or they just arent switched on for your service. I had the same with all channels when I first got my box because I was in IP mode, so all channels were being delivered via Multicast, 'something' had to be enabled for my line which was missed. With that said do your normal channels work in IP Only Mode or are they coming via an aerial?
If all channels work aside from these subscription ones maybe @DarrenDev could look at whether the service is indeed enabled?

I have Google Mesh Wifi connected to the BT hub.
I get my other channels via an aerial and they all work. I'm no sure what IP mode is.
Right so the Google Mesh probably isnt passing through the Multicast packets and a quick google says it doesnt support it.
You'll need to use an ethernet or connect it to the BT Hub's wifi.
So your subscription based channels always come via Multicast, over the internet, the freeview type channels can come via aerial or Multicast also, to utilize you can setup the box in IP mode when you first set it up, therefore no need to connect an aerial at all. But as the sub channels are via multicast only that data will need to make it from your router to your TV box, if the TV box is connected to the internet via Google Mesh, unless Google Mesh supports the relevant 'stuff' those TV channels will not make it.

Well you'd have to ask them, generally your average addon WIFI solution is not going to support it, thats not to say that some dont because some do, but yeah, the Google ones do not.
Its a further config item which will utilise IGMP, the BT Smart Hub will have all the config baked in to deal with the customers who subscribe to it.
But I wouldnt bother worrying about it as a feature, my Unifi stuff has it but for what its worth I would never recommend watching Multicast over WIFI, always via a cable.
