sorry, took a while. IP addresses all present, wired connection but i have a IPC6011 error and then a YVM104 error. won't do anything until i remove and replace the cable.
I have tried every port on the router and i have also replaced the cable, first with ones i had and then one that BT supplied after i moaned about this issue.
Will be contacted them again as this is ridiculous.
and now, while on this forum i have an IPC 6023 error come up while watching TV, meaning i am again not watching TV
Using the steps mentioned by @Midnight_Voice previously, set a manual/static IP address. All you need to change here is the last three digits of the primary address to something below 64. So 192.168.10 for example. That will then rule out any DHCP issues. Although it does sound rather like the box is faulty.
You haven't said which box it is but if it was supplied BT in late 2022, should be a Pro Box, unless it was a replacement?
If it is the Pro Box, have you tried WiFi? Previous boxes don't support WiFi.
thanks. i have tried all of this with no luck.
i'm currently on a chat with BT but they don't seem to be able to do or suggest anything new, it's all diagnostic this and reset that
hi. it is a pro box and no i haven't tried wifi, i'll do this. for some reason it did not even occur to me. cheers
Note that you have to physically unplug the ethernet cable before the Pro Box will allow a WiFi connection.
yup. done that now. worse. so much worse. apparently BT have done some bits and it should be better. we'll see
