Netflix on STB - error tvq-pb-101(8.1)

Is anyone else experiencing Netflix error tvq-pb-101(8.1) when trying to play a title? Before the error appears I get a red circle in the centre of the screen with a percentage in the middle that increments from 0% but stops at 24%. 

I have an EE Pro box. If I reboot this then Netflix works ok for a few days but then the error starts again.

I have spoken to BT Technical team who advise they have had a few other calls regarding this issue but say there is nothing wrong with the STBs and it is a Netflix problem. They have also suggested a Factory Reset.

  • Update your device's firmware or software to the latest version.

  • Restore your device to its original settings, like when you first got it.

There are loads of internet posts with the same issue on various TVs, other STBs e.g. Virgin Media and Sky Glass but I don't see anything re the problem being on BT / EE boxes.

All other streaming services work perfectly on the Pro box and Netflix works fine on any other device in the home.

Same issue with netflix stopping on 24%  but works fine via smart tv.

Internet speed is good and after initial issues with box, several reboots and extra disc connected to bt box all the other apps now seem to be working. 

Hopefully this issue can be sorted by bt as it's been a poor upgrade so far.
