New BT Box coming soon.

I have just updated the BT TV app on my android phone and it states that the update was a minor one to support New BT boxes coming soon. Anyone know what this new box is all about.

I would suspect that they mean new features (IP Freeview?) rather than a replacement for the Pro Box. Unless the scale of issues with the Pro Box is even larger than we see here & they've ditching it & going back to Humax?

@rbz5416 that'd be good because I've noticed that the Pro Box has a tendency to lock up quite often

Actually no, & not sure what you're implying?

But I am aware that the issue with incorrect surround sound steering was acknowledged in December & supposedly prioritised. The "Ghost Recordings" thread has been running since November with no sign of a fix, & the "unresponsive" thread is over three months old, again with no resolution in sight or meaningful response.

It means that you can't always throw more resources at a problem to fix it faster - some things will just take as long as they take.

The right people working on fixing bugs doesn't stop everyone else working on other things.
