Only TNT Sports1

I have recently negotiated a new contract with BT.

I am only getting Sports 1HD but not 2, 3, 4 ect. 

When I select these channels it says they need setting up by BT error BTP-11178

I contacted BT and they say it's because my order has gone through completely yet and I will get them. It's been 6 days now and I'm not convinced.

Anyone have any ideas why I am only getting Sports1 and no other channels, including Discovery SD and HD?

Thanks for visiting the BT Community

As you mentioned from your call BTP-11178 is usually caused by having an open order on the account and to resolve it the order has to complete. When you called up did they mention a date of when the order should complete as it should be fixed once it is.

If they didn't give you a date or they gave a date that has passed it would be best to give the technical team another call so they can confirm a timescale for when it will be sorted for you.

I contacted them again and they say the order is still open and won't be closed until the 21st and he couldn't bring that date forward.

He couldn't tell me why I get Sports1 channel.

A few years ago I cancelled the sports package but they carried on giving me Sports1 only. Something to do with that maybe?

@colinv Thanks for the update and good to know there is a date when it will start working for you. 

Yeah that sounds likely regarding still getting access to TNT Sports 1, if you were still getting it after cancelling a previous package it sounds like that is the reason you are getting it still rather than being related to the recent order.

It's very strange thou as I have also gone for the full works package which includes Sky channels and they are working.

Long story but I ordered this last month and it all came up on the day, all the tnt sports channels in HD plus the full works. Then when the Openreach guy turned up he couldn't get my pro box talking to my router on WiFi. Currently it's all wired but lounge is in the back of the house and I didn't want fibre cables running to the back of the house so WiFi was my only option. I sent him away. The service carried on until the 1st of October when it shuts down. 

I called them and they said they would put another order through and send someone to look at the WiFi issue. They had to charge me more as that offer had finished grrrrrrrr. Anyway it is this time around that I have lost the other channels. Incidentally I do have the SD versions of the channels.
