Parental controls

Sorry, I posted this in the wrong section. I was referring to the TV parental controls. I haven't enabled them in MyBT.

Is it possible to turn off parental controls fully? I have to input the code for certain programmes but I don't think my wife and I need to be protected from adult content (We are in our 70s so I think we qualify as adults!)

You need to go to MYBT and you turn off parental controls there

Parental controls are off by default. You or somebody with access to your account must have turned them on.

That's possible. I may have switched them on when the grandkids were here. But I can't find how to switch them off again.

To check if your BT Parental Controls are active:

1. Log in to your My BT account
2. Scroll down to and click on the Manage your extras button
3. On the My Security management page, if the slider in the 'BT Parental Controls' panel is set to 'On', BT Parental Controls are active. Just click on the slider to quickly switch BT Parental Controls on or off

Any changes you make can take up to two hours to take effect. If two hours have passed and BT Parental Controls are still not active, then try rebooting your Hub.
