Programmes which show up as recording are zero secs long when replaying. All has been fine until this last week.

What device?
if a Box Pro, then try Settings/Factory Reset/Factory Reset (Keep Recordings).
If the issue continues though, then you may have disc corruption, which will need a full Factory Reset 😢
Keep your eye on it, maybe even try that reset, keep recordings. What you are seeing - both the disappearance and the reappearance - are symptomatic of index corruption.
@Ylyurga may I ask whether this issue occurred only when deciding to play a recording that was currently recording on the box , ie the recording was still in progress or whether it also occurred on recordings already completely ?
