Samsung remote code

Hi I just replaced my Sony TV with a new Samsung S90C TV and have trouble to program the BT remote control that worked fine before. I have tried code 4483 but this doesnt seem to work.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Re: Samsung remote code

@Bully

We need to know which device you are trying to use here - a legacy YouView box (and if so which one?) or the new Pro box?

The difference matters,

Re: Samsung remote code

@Bully

I imagine it’s a DTR-T4000 then.

Alas, that is the only code BT publish for Samsung 😢

The instructions are here:-

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/fix-a-problem/remote/my-remote-is-not-controlling-the-tv

though I guess you might have these already. But if you are working off the paper manual, then use the instructions in the link above, as BT missed out a step in the original instructions.

Also note that the number given is really to start the remote cycling through a whole range of codes, which is why they say it may take a minute or more, and to keep the button pressed throughout, so be patient with it.

And if it still doesn’t work, there is a link to further BT help at the end of the instructions, where you can at least alert BT to the problem if, as is possible, this newer Samsung TV needs a new code, added since the T4000 was introduced.

And if you are an EE/BT TV subscriber, maybe they will want to send you out a Pro box, which being a newer device may have this newer Samsung in its repertoire.
