Given the desire on the EE side is there im going to assume it’s just way more complicated than initially anticipated. Frustrating though.

I do have faith it will be here and I am an EE BB customer now so won’t be locked out when it does arrive, haven’t lost hope yet.

Sky announced on cordbusters that they have no plans to offer UHD to third parties. The only way is to buy now boost directly. 

If you want to enjoy sky sports UHD you'll need to buy a streaming device, sky sports pass ( I just paid £20 for six months) and a boost deal, again I currently pay £4 til November.

It was leaked on here by accident that EETV were actively trialing the UHD channels.

Cant remember which post it was, but also vaguely remember that largely it was ready to go and that billing was an issue.

I’ve not been active her for ages so I’ve not kept up to date but I don’t think the dreams over yet.…….unless Sky have completely u turned and are now blocking EE.

Odd that Sky and EE can master all other billing apart from how to bill for providing UHD.

It took literally years for Sky to let Now tv have UHD so their hardly going to invite EE to the party

I’m not sure it’s the same difference.

Sky and Now both owned by the same parent company, Sky most likely keeping UHD back for Sky Q customers to promote that expensive eco system. Sky barely even promote Sky Q these days in favour of Sky Stream so are not marketing exclusive Sky Sports UHD on Q.

Sky marrying up with a proper 3rd party is a completely different thing, especially in this case where UHD will need to leverage multicast streaming platform, it probably is as complicated as it sounds.

Although you're technical knowledge is far superior to mine I'm sure it wouldn't take this long to sort and implement .

All those in the loop are sticking to the "coming soon" mantra and if its a technical issue rather then commercial then surely a rough time frame wouldn't go amiss.
