BT box worked fine. But today no programmes are showing on the EPG guide and I notice that it now shows EE instead of BT. Can't reset it as will lose all recordings. Really fed up. Can anyone help?

The box has rebranded as BT TV has become EE TV in line with other changes BT are making. You should have received an email but you can read more here.
Can you still watch your TV channels?
Have you tried a soft reset or a simple power off for a few minutes (disconnected from the plug)?

The full factory reset that deletes recordings and settings is the last step to try.
Unplug the box for 2 minutes and also restart your router.
If that doesn’t work try the soft reset in the link I provided earlier.
Do you have a tablet or phone connected to the box? You can also use the BT/EE TV app to set recordings.
