I can’t, I’m afraid, the Community rules wouldn’t permit that 😢
But open a new tab on your browser, type Manhattan T-4R, and see what comes up.
Hi
Many thanks for your ongoing comments on this issue. I didn't understand what you meant by a remote app?
Thanks
Nigel
There’s an EETV app which enables you to set up recordings by linking your tablet/phone to your box. It’s possible to watch a limited range of channels via this app too.
With the YouView boxes, you can have the EETV app on a mobile or a tablet, pair it with a YouView box, and set the box to record remotely, from the app, even if you are hundreds of miles away.
I see that Manhattan now have things you can do from a browser, though I haven’t investigated exactly what they are, but it only works if you are on the same WiFi as the PVR, so not fully remote like YouView.
Hi
Many thanks for that. Didn't know such a thing was possible!
To be exact, you can’t fast forward through the recorded ads on the itv channels on a Box where the recordings were made in IP Mode. Recordings made in Aerial Mode do not have this restriction.
It’s also true that if you make a recording of a BBC channel in IP Mode and try to play it back, the BBC treat this as an invitation to play it back to you on the BBC iPlayer, and not from the actual recording you made. Playback is also conditional on the programme being available on iPlayer at the time you try to play it back. Again, recordings made in Aerial Mode do not have this restriction.
Both of these restrictions are at the behest of the broadcasters, not of the advertisers.
Indeed - just as long as you have paired the EETV app and the YouView box as a one-time procedure while you are physically in front of the box, you can now get recordings cut off before the end from recording requests made not just in the comfort of your own home, but from anywhere in the UK where a mobile or WiFi signal is available 😛
