An annoying small white lined square has recently appeared top right of TV screen within Internet channels and Sky Movies which I can't seem to get rid of. Can anyone advise what this is and how to remove it please ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If I underatand you description correctly - that is a part of the broadcast and is used to identify the source of the feed - you can not get rid of it.
Different devices have different symbols.
Sky are trying to identify the source of pirate broadcasts on illegal IPTV services. They use these symbols to identify the original source of the broadcast.
It may only be temporary, and once they’re happy they have identified what they need they can remove the symbols.
They have been there for several years in one form or another - I don't think they will vanish too soon.

They come and go and I’ve explained why already.
They change shape too. On VM the symbol as half of their logo.
As I say, so Sky know whether the feed they’ve found originates from BT TV or VM.
Not just Now, Sky, VM or BT - but what type of device too.
