Some recordings on my EE YouView box (it was renamed automatically, not by me) are showing as no longer available but others are fine.
What do you mean when you say your box was renamed? Are you referring to the EE logo, that was changed 2 years ago?
Which recordings are saying they're no longer available? What channels were they from?
Yes, I have 2 entries for the attached devices. The original YouView one which was last accessed in March 2026 and the EE TV YouView one which was last accessed today. I don't know when it changed but it wasn't by me.
The current problem I have (there have been numerous recordings I have been unable to access in the past) is Alibi HD - Return to Paradise, this has happened for both recordings I have made so far. Other HD channels such as BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5 are OK.
I did upgrade my Broadband package to Halo 3 a few months back, I am wondering if this new package altered my TV subscription but this was happening before that (I had previously upgraded to 1Gbps BB last year).
Only an observation - Alibi HD recordings (358) would need a current HD add on to be maintained to view.
Thanks, that is the issue. I cannot watch Alibi HD live but it does allow me to select record from the EPG, is this normal?
It’s the way that it has been set up. You have the flexibility to change your package and add-ons quite often, and the check is made when you come to watch a recording to see if you have the right package/add-on. If your broadband was down at the time that you came to watch a recording you would not be able to as it would not be able to carry out the necessary checks. I believe that most shows from Alibi are available to watch on the NOW app on catch up.
Thanks, BT couldn’t answer my question but the forum has 😎
Best to hide the channels you cannot get using the yellow button. Easier to scroll through the channels in the EPG too.
